CardioAid®-S Plant Sterol Esters is a combination of the ester forms of beta-sitosterols, campesterol and stigmasterol. Plant sterols are plant compounds that are structurally similar to cholesterol and thus help limit the absorption of cholesterol from the digestive tract. In this way, CardioAid®-S can contribute to maintaining cholesterol levels that are already within the normal range. |
| Ingredients |
Softgel (Gelatin, Glycerin, Aqua, Carob) and Soy Lecithin. Contains fish (sardines, anchovies, mackerel) and soy. Made without yeast, wheat, gluten, milk, egg and shellfish. Manufactured in a GMP certified facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens. Foods that contain at least 0.65 g of plant sterol esters per serving and that are consumed twice daily with meals to ensure a total daily intake of at least 1.3 g as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol reduce the risk of heart disease. One serving of NOW® Beta-Sitosterol Plant Sterols with Fish Oil provides 1 g (1,000 mg) of plant sterol esters in fish oil. |
