ALGAE OIL OMEGA 3What are DHA & EPA Omega 3 fatty acids? DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), along with ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), are among the most important omega-3 fats. These are long-chain, polyunsaturated fatty acids and are often referred to as "healthy" fatty acids. However, it is the interaction of these two fatty acids that ensures optimal distribution in our bodies, which brings with it numerous beneficial properties and is passed on to the infant via breast milk! DHA & EPA in detail: DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is an omega fatty acid that provides 97% of the omega 3 source in our brain and 93% in the retina of our eyes. It also plays a key role in our heart health. This has been proven by numerous studies (*4 / *5). EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) is an omega-3 fatty acid that plays an important role in cardiovascular health and, according to recent findings, also has a positive effect on the immune system and the inflammatory balance in our body (study *1 / *2 / *3). Highlights at a glance:
Good fats / bad fats and their occurrence!Good fats: There are only two types of unsaturated fatty acids : Omega-6 fatty acids, which are mainly found in vegetable oils such as safflower oil, sunflower oil, and linseed oil; and Omega-3 fatty acids in the form of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), also known as long-chain unsaturated fatty acids. These are mainly found in fatty fish; and short-chain fatty acids in the form of ALA (linolenic acid), which are most commonly found in plant sources such as flax, but which must first be converted into EPA and DHA by the body. Bad fats: Bad fats are saturated fatty acids , which are primarily found in meat, poultry, dairy products, and butter. Trans fats, which are found in vegetable shortenings, margarine, and various snack foods and are sometimes made from hydrogenated oils, are also considered bad fats. These are all fatty acids that should be avoided. Algal oil more readily available than fish oil! Many people still believe that fish oil is a higher-quality source of Omega 3 because the fish itself produces it. However, this is a misconception! This high Omega 3 content actually comes from the food chain: fish absorb the fatty acids by consuming the algae in their habitat. Therefore, the fattier the fish, the higher the Omega 3 fatty acid content! From this perspective, there are definitely advantages to choosing an Omega 3 source from where it originates, namely in the algae. Vit4er vegan Omega 3 from algae oil!Until now, it was quite difficult for vegans and vegetarians in particular to adequately meet their Omega 3 levels, as these important fatty acids were primarily available in fish products (fatty fish) or fish oil capsules. We at Vit4ever are proud to offer you our 100% vegan alternative to Omega 3 fish oil capsules! The high-quality Omega 3 (DHA + EPA) combination in our vegan Omega 3 capsules comes 100% from the algal oil of the Schizochytrium sp. algae. This species of algae has the highest natural DHA and EPA content. Each daily serving of 3 capsules (3 x 500 mg algal oil per capsule) provides our Algal Oil Omega 3 capsules with 450 mg of DHA and 225 mg of EPA! We also use a plant-based softgel capsule to make our product 100% vegan and with the highest possible bioavailability for the body. Reference studies: *1.
