Probiotics and Emotional Health

Clinical and preclinical studies suggest that gut microbes may support mood and behavior by influencing the gut-brain axis, a complex communication network that connects your gut to your brain. And the two probiotics in this formula are particularly potent.

In two randomized controlled trials, participants taking a mixture of Lactobacillus helveticus Rosell-52 and Bifidobacterium longum Rosell-175 reported significant support for mood, stress response, and emotional balance compared to placebo. We developed a proprietary extract of the popular spice saffron that is standardized for the two compounds safranal and crocin because compelling research indicates that saffron compounds promote mood.
