Rose hips develop in autumn from the flower bases of the rose hip bush. They are non-toxic, crisp red, but sometimes also yellow-orange fruits that can be eaten raw, but they taste sour and bitter. They are also used as jam, tea or as dried fruit.
Rose hips are naturally rich in vitamin C.
